Has fairly useful bumper form but he was a never-dangerous outsider in the big one at Cheltenham most recently (second start for new yard); this looks a stiff introduction to hurdling.

Only Cue Card has won this as a 4yo since 1995; this gelding looks outclassed, even on his win/placed form for Nigel Twiston-Davies.

Similar form all three starts for Nigel Twiston-Davies, winning at Huntingdon (1m5f, good) on debut and second since at Haydock (2m, good) and Cheltenham (1m6f, heavy; hooded); looks the pick on form and has to be respected on his first outing for a new yard.

Much too good for Dodger Long at Huntingdon (1m5f, good) but couldn't live with the favourite at Hereford and he has something to find on that form; on the plus side, he promises to be suited by going left-handed here (hung that way last time) and the hood might give him a lift.

Was enhancing his stable's fine strike-rate in bumpers this season when scoring decisively at Huntingdon (extended 1m5f, good; 6-1) three weeks ago; ought to be at least as effective over this longer trip (dam won three 3m1f hurdles) and should make a bold bid to defy a 7lb penalty.
