Form: 7
OR:
W: 9st 2lb
Age: 2 yo Filly
Only seventh of ten on last month's Kempton debut (6f, AW), but was sent off just 7-2 and she did endure a wide trip; bred to be better than that and no surprise to see an improved performance.
Form:
OR:
W: 9st 2lb
Age: 2 yo Filly
February foal by Sergei Prokofiev; half-sister to winners Indigo Dream (7f AW; RPR 84) and Royal Elysian (6f AW 2yo; 79); dam runner-up 1m AW (65), sister to useful 7f-1m2f winner Sucellus, half-sister to 1m4f Listed winner Bartzella, out of 1m2f Listed winner; stable does have winning 2yo newcomers and the market should prove informative.
Form: 5
OR:
W: 9st 2lb
Age: 2 yo Filly
Sent off 11-2 when a well-held fifth of seven on her Ripon debut (6f, good) 15 days ago; half-sister to four winners so could do better, but will need to.
Form:
OR:
W: 8st 13lb
Age: 2 yo Filly
February foal by Without Parole; £20,000 yearling; dam 9.4f AW winner (RPR 65), half-sister to winners Selino (Australian 2m Group 1), Airway (1m2f) and Always Summer (1m6f/2m), out of unraced half-sister to 2m4f Group 1 winner Invermark; stable's newcomers always worth a second look, but her pedigree suggests she may come into her own over further.
OUR TIP
Form: 2
OR:
W: 8st 13lb
Age: 2 yo Filly
12-1 when second of six on her debut here (5f, good) six weeks ago (winner went on to be beaten a head in a Listed race at York); no problem with the extra furlong on breeding and looks the one to beat; stable also runs the newcomer Gravastar.
Form: 6
OR:
W: 8st 13lb
Age: 2 yo Filly
Nicely bred filly who showed ability when sixth of 12 on her Ascot debut (5f, good) five weeks ago, shaping as though this extra furlong would suit; one for the shortlist.
Form:
OR:
W: 8st 10lb
Age: 2 yo Filly
April foal by Tasleet; half-sister to nine winners including Gibeon (7f 2yo/1m2f; RPR 108), Gemina (7f 2yo; 89), Girling (11.6f; 89) and Graham (1m4f; 85); dam 1m4f and 1m6f (Group 3) winner (108), out of half-sister to Gold Cup winner Fame And Glory; worth a market check, especially in relation to stablemate Rollthedicebaby, but she is another who may need further in time.
Form:
OR:
W: 8st 10lb
Age: 2 yo Filly
March foal by Masar; 4,000gns yearling; sister to 1m4f AW winner Van Aert (RPR 73); dam Listed-placed 6f 2yo winner (85), out of 1m2f winning half-sister to US 1m/1m1f Grade 2 winner Uncharted Haven (dam of 1m4f Group 3 winner High Heeled); bred to appreciate further and others make greater appeal.

Betting Forecast

6/1 Bearly Blue, 8/1 Greek Symphony, 8/1 Sovereign Beach, 10/1 Amethyst Star, 13/8 Rollthedicebaby, 5/1 Tallahassee Lassie, 6/1 Gravastar, 14/1 Polgaria

Verdict

Money for any of the newcomers should be noted, but ROLLTHEDICEBABY sets a fair standard having chased home the subsequent Marygate runner-up Armor Supreme on her debut here last month. Tallahassee Lassie shaped as though this longer trip would suit on her Ascot debut and she may pose the biggest threat, though an improved performance from Bearly Blue wouldn’t be the biggest surprise.[David Bellingham]
