Form: 3-1 D

W: 11st 9lb

Improved on a promising debut when winning at Uttoxeter (2m, good) last month, showing a good attitude to assert close home; key player under a penalty.
Form:
OR:
W: 11st 2lb
Age: 5 yo Gelding
First foal; dam a point winner, half-sister to winners Definitelyanoscar (bumper/2m hurdle) and Towering (2m-2m7f hurdle); yard 0-11 in bumpers in the last five seasons and he may be one for further down the road.
OUR TIP
Form:
OR:
W: 10st 9lb
Age: 5 yo Mare
Won an Irish point (3m, yielding) on debut last month and subsequently changed hands for £27,000; that form looks solid enough and she's bred to do well under rules, being the first foal of an unraced dam who is a half-sister to useful staying hurdler Jungle Prose; hood fitted for this rules debut and represents a leading stable; respected.
Form:
OR:
W: 10st 9lb
Age: 5 yo Mare
Half-sister to four winners, notably Group 2 scorer Ahzeemah (7f-2m), smart performer Austrian School and dual Grand National hero Tiger Roll; appeals strongly on paper given that depth of pedigree and market support would heighten interest; one to keep a close eye on making her debut.
Form:
OR:
W: 10st 4lb
Age: 4 yo Filly
Fifth foal; half-sister to bumper winner Queenofthejukebox; dam an unraced sister to 3m chase scorer Glengar; appeals on pedigree and should have a future, but likely one for the longer term and may be best watched on debut.
Form: 3
OR:
W: 10st 4lb
Age: 4 yo Filly
Half-sister to 2m-2m1f chase winner Pure Carbon; had her supporters and shaped with promise when third over C&D (good) on last month's debut; that experience should stand her in good stead and she's open to improvement; commands respect.

Betting Forecast

11/4 Blinded By Grace, 20/1 Lets Have A Drink, 6/4 Park Hall, 8/1 Poppycat, 20/1 Petite Poet, 11/4 Unflappable

Verdict

Blinded By Grace showed plenty of grit when getting off the mark at Uttoxeter and warrants respect, but a penalty is never easy to defy in bumpers. Preference is for PARK HALL, who showed a good attitude when scoring on debut in an Irish point and can make a winning start for her leading stable. Unflappable showed definite promise when third over C&D on debut and will likely be all the wiser for that experience. She may give the selection most to do. [Tim Mitchell]
