Form: 42-311 CD
OR: 105
W: 11st 12lb
Age: 5 yo Filly
Followed up her Hereford win over C&D 16 days ago, though had to work hard to do so; shoulders a double penalty and she probably has greater potential over further, but she's still the one to beat.
Form: U4
OR:
W: 11st 0lb
Age: 7 yo Mare
200-1 and, though finishing fourth over C&D last month, she was still beaten 16.5l by Lady Kara; others have more obvious claims.
Form:
OR:
W: 11st 0lb
Age: 6 yo Mare
Progressed well in Irish points this year, winning twice this spring on soft ground, most recently by 13l, and subsequently bought for £21,000 in May; makes rules debut for her leading stable and looks a likely type to do well over hurdles, though 2m on better ground is a different test.
Form: U086-2 BF
OR: 111
W: 11st 0lb
Age: 7 yo Mare
13-race maiden; beaten at short odds on recent debut for James Owen at Fakenham (2m, good), but that was still a respectable effort after a break; likely to be in the mix again and worth considering.
Form: P-67
OR:
W: 11st 0lb
Age: 5 yo Filly
Twice a runner-up in Irish points and has hinted at ability in two starts over hurdles since joining this stable, but is likely one for handicaps in due course.
Form: 0-
OR:
W: 10st 9lb
Age: 4 yo Filly
Ran well for a long way but was ultimately well held on debut in a Stratford bumper (extended 2m, good to soft; 7-1) in October; off since and makes hurdling debut with a tongue-tie added.
OUR TIP
Form:
OR:
W: 10st 9lb
Age: 4 yo Filly
Steadily progressive over middle distances in maidens on the Flat in Ireland last year, winning her final start at the Curragh (1m4f, heavy) in October before changing hands for 60,000gns that same month; will not be inconvenienced by any rain and is a likely type to make a hurdler; makes plenty of appeal on stable debut.
Form: 353-U
OR:
W: 10st 9lb
Age: 4 yo Filly
Showed promise in three bumpers but got no further than the first when 25-1 on recent hurdles debut over C&D, though no fault of her own; out of a 2m hurdle winner but likely best watched for now.
Form: 273-
OR:
W: 10st 9lb
Age: 4 yo Filly
Didn't really progress from a promising start in bumpers, but her dam was a useful 2m2f-3m hurdle winner and she may improve for this switch to hurdles, though she'll need to.

Betting Forecast

5/2 Lady Kara, 40/1 Bontessony Doll, 5/2 Colegram, 4/1 Dancing Dame, 33/1 Medina Blue, 14/1 Doobeedee, 9/2 Likewhatyousee, 33/1 Princess Of Ballea, 8/1 Steal A Glance

Verdict

Lady Kara faces a stiff task under a double penalty but is hard to dismiss given her current form. Colegram is perhaps the more intriguing alternative on her hurdle and stable debut, having won two Irish points this spring. However, a chance is taken on LIKEWHATYOUSEE who was progressing well on the Flat last year and appeals as the type to do well over hurdles. Dancing Dame is also respected. [Tim Mitchell]
