OUR TIP
Form: -85611 D
OR: 75
W: 9st 9lb
Age: 3 yo Filly
Record on the AW reads 58856 but she took her record on turf to 411 with convincing wins at Leicester (7f, good) and Haydock (7f, soft); up another 10lb in her hat-trick bid, but the limit of her progress is still to be established.
Form: 024-52 BF
OR: 75
W: 9st 9lb
Age: 3 yo Colt
Beaten favourite for both handicaps, though he was rather stuck out on a limb when second of seven at Lingfield (7f, good) last time; one for the shortlist.
Form: 45-3
OR: 74
W: 9st 8lb
Age: 3 yo Colt
Similar level of form in three starts over 7f on turf; needs to step up now switched to a handicap, but that is entirely possible.
Form: 323-5 BF
OR: 74
W: 9st 8lb
Age: 3 yo Filly
Placed in all three starts over 6f/7f on turf last year, but proved a disappointing favourite on her reappearance/handicap debut at Wolverhampton (7f, AW) a fortnight ago; possible the run was needed after 258 days off, but she will need to step up considerably.
Form: 11-736 D
OR: 74
W: 9st 8lb
Age: 3 yo Filly
Won his first two nurseries on the AW (6f/7f) last autumn, but the handicapper has been in charge since; still 6lb above her last winning mark and has a bit to prove back on turf with cheekpieces fitted.
Form: 446
OR: 72
W: 9st 6lb
Age: 3 yo Colt
Best of three efforts in the spring when fourth of eight in a Newmarket maiden (7f, good) on penultimate outing; didn't stay 1m last time; could take a step forward now switched to a handicap.
Form: 22-373 BF
OR: 72
W: 9st 6lb
Age: 3 yo Colt
Promising in his first three starts, but twice held since being gelded and was a particularly disappointing favourite in a Windsor maiden (6f, good to firm) last month; needs a resurgence.
Form: 2-5549
OR: 72
W: 9st 6lb
Age: 3 yo Colt
Has twice come within a neck of winning, but his latest Windsor effort (6f, good to firm) not amongst his best and is now 0-11; first-time visor needs to make a difference.
Form: -54135
OR: 69
W: 9st 3lb
Age: 3 yo Colt
Made a successful handicap debut at Newcastle (6f, AW) for George Scott in March; held on turf/stable debut at Newmarket (6f, good) last month, but the step up to 7f may suit him; could sneak into the frame.
Form: -11215 DBF
OR: 69
W: 9st 3lb
Age: 3 yo Colt
Record in his first five handicaps read 21121, but finished over 7l behind Euphonia at Haydock (7f, soft) last month; may have found the ground too testing and now 10lb better off, but he still has work to do.
Form: 547-47
OR: 69
W: 9st 3lb
Age: 3 yo Colt
Has hinted at ability despite finishing unplaced in six starts; needs to find a bit more if he is to break his duck.
12 (11)
Galba uniform
Form: 3-736
OR: 69
W: 9st 3lb
Age: 3 yo Colt
Best effort when third of seven in a Leicester novice (7f, good to firm) last month and didn't appear to stay on handicap debut at Windsor (1m, good to firm) a fortnight later; frame possibilities back over this trip.

Betting Forecast

100/30 Euphonia, 3/1 Lohoobb, 15/2 Dark Sovereign, 13/2 Enamorus, 14/1 Kilkenny Warrior, 8/1 Kimbara, 14/1 Starryfield, 25/1 Ecclefechan, 50/1 Southern Warrior, 7/1 Lion Of Mali, 14/1 Robert Anstruther, 25/1 Galba

Verdict

Nothing comes into this in better form than EUPHONIA (nap) and she is taken to complete the hat-trick despite another hike in the weights. Lion Of Mali should finish a bit closer to the selection on 10lb better terms than at Haydock last time, but a bigger danger may be Lohoobb who didn’t enjoy the ideal route when runner-up at Lingfield last time. Southern Warrior, Galba and handicap newcomers Dark Sovereign and Kimbara look the pick of the rest.[David Bellingham]
