Form: P55-1P DBF
OR: 122
W: 12st 2lb
Age: 10 yo Gelding
Not particularly consistent but won at Huntingdon early last month (2m4f, good) and would have a chance on that form; however, pulled up when favourite at Fakenham last time having reportedly made a respiratory noise.
Form: 2146-P
OR: 121
W: 12st 1lb
Age: 7 yo Gelding
Three wins at around 2m4f on good ground in the first half of last season; hasn't recaptured his form after a winter break, last time pulling up at Stratford after jumping right; this track should suit him better.
Form: 5544-6
OR: 120
W: 12st 0lb
Age: 9 yo Gelding
All eight jump wins have been at around 2m; lost his chance by jumping right when stepped up to 2m4f at Aintree last time (finished a well-beaten sixth); will be better going right-handed; 21lb lower than for his last win (August 2024) and stable in form, but a bit to prove.
Form: 3431-1
OR: 115
W: 11st 9lb
Age: 7 yo Gelding
Has won two small-field chases over 3m1f on good ground at Hereford since returning from a winter break and being tried in cheekpieces; up 7lb; down in trip but a contender.
Form: PP4P-P
OR: 112
W: 11st 6lb
Age: 9 yo Gelding
Creditable 14l fourth at Bangor in March (2m4f, good); pulled up on next two starts and had been pulled up on his two starts before that run, so is hard to fancy.
Form: 4526-P
OR: 106
W: 11st 0lb
Age: 10 yo Gelding
Won twice in 2025, at Musselburgh in January (2m4f, soft) and at Worcester in May (2m4f, good); hasn't done as well since and was pulled up at Stratford last time; could bounce back

Form: 104P-4
OR: 105
W: 10st 13lb
Age: 7 yo Mare
Winner over hurdles off a 3lb higher mark at Bangor last July (2m3f, good); not disgraced when 20l fourth on same track after a break on chase debut last month (2m3f, good); should improve for that run and one to consider.

Betting Forecast

6/1 Hurricane Bay, 6/1 King Roly, 5/1 Fringill Dike, 6/4 Maximum Offers, 14/1 Doyouknowwhatimean, 12/1 Okavango Delta, 5/1 Wudya

Verdict

Add 215 yards. Quite a trappy race as the likes of Hurricane Bay and Doyouknowwhatimean would have a chance on their best form but are far from reliable. After winning his last two races Maximum Offers is an obvious contender, but the vote goes to WUDYA who should improve on last month’s chase debut at Bangor.[Colin Russell]
