Hewick Career Form And Notable Achievements

Hewick has won 9 of his 31 career races to date, with his biggest victory coming in the Grade 1 Grand National Stakes in 2022. It took his 13 races to finally shed his maiden tag over hurdles, and it wasn’t until he went chasing that he started to rack up some big results. In October 2022 he won the Bet365 Gold Cup at Sandown, and soon followed that with victory in the Galway Plate in July 2022. He travelled over to the USA for the Grand National Hurdle Stakes, and he returned victorious having put in a superb display. He was then tested in the Cheltenham Gold Cup, and was going well before falling two out. He duly made amends next time out in the Oaksey Chase, where he won going away under a fine Rachael Blackmore ride.
